How we use your answers

Before launch: have this page reviewed by Tanzanian counsel and fill in the registration number and contact address below. It is referenced from the form and is the page a regulator will look at first.

What we collect right now

This is an anonymous market survey. We ask about your building, your electricity use and what you would want from a solar system. We do not ask for your name, phone number or address, and we do not store the IP address your phone connects from.

Why we are asking

HolmStone is assessing whether to establish solar and renewable energy services in Zanzibar. Your answers help us understand what is actually needed here, and are reported only as combined totals — never individually.

Where your answers are stored

Responses are stored on secure servers operated by Supabase, located outside Tanzania. Access is limited to HolmStone staff who need it.

When we start asking for contact details

We will only ask for your name and number once we are registered as a data controller with the Personal Data Protection Commission. At that point the form will ask for your explicit agreement first, and will tell you exactly what it will be used for. You will be able to ask us to delete your details at any time.

How long we keep it

Anonymous survey answers are kept for as long as we are studying the Zanzibar market. Contact details, once we collect them, are removed after [NN months] if you do not become a customer.
